This ideological duality is an important and influential factor in Iran-Afghanistan relations in the new Taliban era. قدرت گرفتــن دوبــارۀ طالبــان در افغانســتان بــا خــروج نیروهــای آمریکایــی بهدنبــال تصــرف کابــل، پایتخــت ایــن کشــور رخ داد و ســبب شــد جمهــوری اســلامی ایــران در مواجهــه بــا همســایههای شــرقیخود دچــار برخــی تناقضهــا شــود. از ســویی، چــون ابعــاد تحــولات بــرای ایــران روشــن نیســت، بــه آنچــه میگــذرد بــه دیــدۀ تهدیــد و تردیــد مینگــرد و وجــود توطئــه در تمامــی تحــولات را دور از ذهــن نمیدانــد. هرچند ایدئولوژی در محور سیاست خارجی طالبان قرار دارد، اما این ایدئولوژی همچون گذشته از یکپارچگی و انسجام کامل برخوردار نبوده و دچار نوعی دوگانگی شده است. پرسش اصلی پژوهش این است که ایدئولوژی طالبان دوره دوم چه تاثیری بر روابط ایران با افغانستان دارد؟ روش پژوهش کیفی از نوع تبیین علی و روش گردآوری دادهها کتابخانهای و اینترنتی است. یافتههای پژوهش نشان میدهد که اگرچه یکپارچگی کامل ایدئولوژیکی ویژگی دوره اول حاکمیت طالبان بوده است، طالبان دوره جدید بر پایه عوامل موثر داخلی و خارجی، قومیت و ایدئولوژی به دو گروه با خاستگاههای فکری متفاوت تبدیل شده و از یکپارچگی ایدئولوژیک فاصله گرفته است، این دوگانگی ایدئولوژیک عاملی تعیینکننده بر روابط ایران و افغانستان در دوره جدید طالبان است.
